Treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, COVID-19 PCR testing will be provided seven days a week
PLAINWELL, MI — WellNow Urgent Care, one of the country’s fastest-growing urgent care providers, announced today that it will open the doors to its newest center in Plainwell on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Located at 1175 Allegan St., Plainwell, MI 49080, the new facility offers timely treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, COVID-19 PCR testing, and occupational medicine services seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. with no appointment needed.
“Injuries and illnesses show up at the most inconvenient times – an injury or tick bite while enjoying a summer outing, a sick child at bedtime, or the sudden need for a COVID-19 PCR test,” said John Radford, M.D., President at WellNow Urgent Care. “We’re proud to be a convenient destination for patients to receive the care they need, when they need it, rather than sitting for hours in an emergency room or delaying care.
Urgent care centers are an increasingly important part of the U.S. healthcare marketplace, providing patients with much-needed access to quality care with shorter wait times, walk-in and same day care options, and lower costs than the traditional emergency room. The new center in Plainwell will provide timely service for ailments such as sprains, burns, colds and allergies while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. COVID-19 testing is also available with no appointment necessary. Patients can walk in or schedule a visit online.
Urgent care services are provided on a walk-in basis, or patients may also visit WellNow.com to check in online or schedule a visit. Patients can also connect with a WellNow provider virtually, from the comfort of home, using the company’s telehealth platform. WellNow accepts most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Fidelis and Veterans Affairs TriWest. A full list of services can be found online at WellNow.com/services and additional information about COVID-19, including testing cost and insurance coverage, can be found at wellnow.com/covid-19/.
WellNow is pleased to partner with local employers for a wide range of occupational medicine services, including DOT/bus driver physicals, Workers’ Compensation assistance, respirator fit exams, audiometry and more. Area businesses and self-insured employers from a range of industries – including manufacturing, warehousing, retail, nursing homes, vocational colleges, bakeries and more – can partner with WellNow to develop a custom occupational medicine program to fit their individual needs.
The Plainwell center is WellNow’s fifth location in Michigan. Other centers in the state include Fenton, Kalamazoo, Portage and Portage North. A full list of WellNow centers can be found at WellNow.com/locations.
