Rapid COVID-19 testing, as well as treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, will be provided seven days a week

MELROSE PARK, IL — WellNow Urgent Care, one of the country’s fastest-growing urgent care providers, announced today that it will open the doors to its newest center in Melrose Park on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Located at 600 W. North Avenue, Melrose Park, IL 60160, the new facility offers COVID-19 testing, timely treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, and occupational medicine services seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with no appointment needed.

“We’re excited to open our third location in the Chicagoland area and be the convenient destination for same-day care, seven days a week, in Melrose Park,” said John Radford, M.D., President at WellNow Urgent Care. “We want to provide patients with the care they need to get back to their lives in less than forty minutes, especially now that the weather is warming up and people and businesses alike look to safely resume their favorite Chicago activities and events.”

Urgent care centers are an increasingly important part of the U.S. healthcare marketplace, providing patients with much-needed access to quality care with shorter wait times, walk-in and same day care options, and lower costs than the traditional emergency room. The new center in Melrose Park will provide timely service for ailments such as sprains, burns, colds and allergies while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. Rapid COVID-19 testing is also available with no appointment necessary. Patients can walk in or schedule a visit online.

Urgent care services are treated on a walk-in basis, or patients may also visit WellNow.com to check in online and view up-to-date wait times. Patients can also connect with a WellNow provider 24 hours a day, seven days a week, using the company’s telehealth platform. WellNow accepts most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Fidelis and Veterans Affairs TriWest. A full list of services can be found online at WellNow.com and additional information about COVID-19, including testing cost and insurance coverage, can be found at Covid-19.

WellNow is pleased to partner with local employers for a wide range of occupational medicine services, including DOT/bus driver physicals, Workers’ Compensation assistance, respirator fit exams, audiometry and more. Area businesses and self-insured employers from a range of industries – including manufacturing, warehousing, retail, nursing homes, vocational colleges, bakeries and more – can partner with WellNow to develop a custom occupational medicine program to fit their individual needs.

The new center in Melrose Park is WellNow’s third location in Illinois. Other nearby centers include Crestwood. A full list of WellNow centers can be found at locations.
